Wood Fence

Security Iron Co. will install most types of wood fencing. On our typical 6′ tall Privacy Fence we use three horizontals instead of the more traditional 2 rails which translates into a stronger fence. We use both a treated southern pine and/or cedar boards for our Wood Fencing. We can install either galvanized round, square and/or 4″ x 4″ treated wood post depending on your choice and style of fence. Our gate frames are tubular steel and the boards are screwed to the frames. This eliminates one of the most annoying problems with wooden fences, the sagging gate! The gate hinges are adjustable and have grease fittings to allow years of trouble free operation.

Traditional Fencing

Our Traditional Fence Line comes in 8′ panels and is available in 3′, 4′,  5′ & 6′ tall versions. The 6′ tall panel has three horizontals instead of two. The steel panels are e-coated first then powder-coated, creating a durable finish. All panels have cast iron finials w / safety ball welded to each picket. The pickets are 18 gauge 1/2″ tubular steel 4.36″ on center welded through 1″ x 1/2″ x 1/8″ punched steel channel. Our most popular classic residential fence line.

Custom Iron Fence

New Orleans probably boasts of some of the finest examples of custom ironwork in the country, and Security Iron Company has been a part of some of those creations. Our ornamental iron fabrication shop is one of the largest in the South. From start to finish we have created many custom designed fences, railings and gates through out the area. We have also been diligent in utilizing, when possible, any historical pieces of wrought iron gates, posts or fence panels and incorporating them into new projects.
